Who is Eligible to Vote
You may vote at the Town of Lucas if:
You are a United States Citizen;
You are 18 years or older on election day;
You have lived in the Town of Lucas for 28 days before the election at which you want to vote; and
You are registered to vote or are registering on election day.
The residence of a person is the place where the person’s habitation is fixed, without any present intent to move, and to which, when absent, the person intends to return.
Any citizen who moves within this state later than 28 days before an election shall vote at his or her previous municipality or ward.
Any person convicted of treason, felony, or bribery is not allowed to vote unless his or her civil rights are restored.
How to Register to Vote
If you are a new voter or have recently moved to the Town of Lucas and need to change your voter address, you will need to register to vote using the methods below.
Anyone wishing to vote in Wisconsin has four options to register:
Online - the fastest way
At the My Vote Wisconsin Website- https://myvote.wi.gov/
You can register to vote online up to 20 days before an election (deadline is Oct 16 for the Nov 5 election).
By Mail
Electronically fill out the Application for Voter Registration (EL-131), download the completed form, print it off, and mail it to the Town of Lucas clerk. Attach a copy of proof of residence.
You can register to vote by mail up to 20 days before an election (deadline is Oct 16 for the Nov 5 election).
In Person (prior to an election):
Register in the town clerk’s office on designated days (see the Elections page for dates).
At the Polling Place on Election Day
You must bring proof that you have lived at your present location for 28 days preceding the election and a valid photo ID.
