2024 Recycling Guidelines
The town can now accept more recyclables! Here is what we can take:
#1-7 plastics: food and beverage containers, milk/water/juice bottles, detergent/shampoo bottles, yogurt cups, clamshells, etc.
Rinse clean, remove and discard lids and caps
No plastic bags, film, or styrofoam (Marketplace and Walmart take plastic bags)
Glass: brown, green, blue and clear glass bottles and jars
Rinse clean and discard plastic lids and caps
No windows, mirrors, ceramics or light bulbs
Metal: aluminum and steel cans, clean aluminum foil and baking dishes, empty aerosol cans
Rinse clean
No e-waste, TVs, computer items, car parts
Paper, cardboard and cartons: envelopes, magazines, newspapers, flattened cardboard, milk/juice cartons, cereal boxes, pizza boxes, beverage boxes, hardcover books (covers removed), wrapping paper, empty paper towel/toilet paper rolls
Break down large cardboard into 2x2 sections
No shredded paper
